Illinois State Fair August-13-2013

Last week we went to the Illinois State Fair! My favorite part was seeing the animals! Especially the horses and goats!

Me rock climbing! I was sore the next day!

I put my head through a large photo! Haha!

 Foxtrotter race horse.

Dad petting one of the race horses. This horse wanted us to
pet him a lot! Another horse wanted to bite us!

I loved the dairy goat barn!

Buddy August-20-13

Buddy was getting very mean! Being aggressive is normal
behavior for bucks when they're not castrated.
I thought his shed might need to be cleaned, so I thought I'd go take a quick look while he was eating. I got a foot in his pen and he came at me! I could barely hold him back! I'm lucky I didn't lock the gate all the way, or I would not have been able to get out! It's funny how he can be so strong and he is so small without horns! So, now Buddy stays in his pen and I give him food and water through the fence.

I found a idea how to make Buddy nicer on the internet! I bought a 94 cent water bottle and filled it with water. My dad went in the pen with the water bottle and every time Buddy tried to butt he sprayed him with water! And he hasn't tried to butt very much after that!
94 cents and a little water really made a difference!

Goats August-20-2013

We were out of hay today and had to let Buddy out so he could eat.
He was frustrated because he couldn't butt me!

 Buddy jumping off his table.

Buddy curling his lip. He just smelled his pee!

Tilly saw Buddy peeing and also curled her lip!

I'm not sure why goats do this when they pee!

 Tilly.

Pretty Lilly!

Rosie laid her 9th egg!

Roisw is still not done laying her eggs! Today she laid her 9th egg! She is a busy duck!

Rosie's nest!

Another photo of the eggs!

Splash watching me while I look at the nest. He is going to be a dad!

Mom and Dad's Anniversary!

August 10th was my parents' anniversary. I went with them. We went to the Macaroni Grill in St. Louis and then we did a some shopping. At the Macaroni Grill you can draw on the tables!

Here's some photos of the drawings I drew on the table.

When we parked at the grocery store I saw geese land in the parking lot. My dad and I drove by and saw them.

This is a video I took of the geese flying away! I counted 47 geese!
I'm not sure why but I love the sounds geese make!
