Snow/ice storm! 

2-21-13

Thursday it snowed about 13 inches here . And then it iced on top of the snow! Our power went out about five times. One time it went out for about 10 minutes. I'm glad that we didn't go out of power!!! 

The goats and I played in the snow the next day! Cuddles tried to climb in the snow drifts! Since the ice was so thick and she's so tiny she could walk on top of the snow without falling through it! Today Dad, Lucy and I walked down the corn field. Lucy pulled me almost all the of the way in the sled! It was so fun!! She got a work out too! We have lots of deer tracks in the yard too! I hope we get them on the game camera!

Lucy having fun!

This is the frisbee I use with Lucy. We can't use a cheap plastic one. Because she would tear it up in seconds. This Kong frisbee is light weight and flexible. Lucy can't break it! I don't let her use it as a chew toy though.

 These photos where taken a different day. It had snowed the night before. She is getting fit!

 She doesn't lick her feet as much now! She still has to wear a  muzzle though. :o(

We look forward to our daily exercising! We have been exercising for
20 days. If I have to go somewhere and be gone all day, we exercise at night.
I think I have missed one day. Because it was raining outside.

Lucy's licking problem 1-31-2013

Lucy's licking problem

Lucy has a really bad habit of  licking her paws. It's has caused big red sores. This is called "lick crystals". The vet said that there is no cure for it. We think it was caused by boredom. She's a inside dog. In has no where to run like she would love to. So I have been exercising her with a Kong Frisbee. Be prepared to laugh!! 

 We tried a head cone. But that didn't work because she figured 

out how to slid the cone back and lick her paw.

We tried socks and elastic. It worked for awhile but then they started to pop off.

Now she has a cage muzzle. 

Mom accidentally put Lucy's muzzle on backwards! LOL!
